Tips for the classroom

• Read the story first and look at the mural together. Each quiz has three tasks and takes 5 to 10 minutes.
• Grades 1 and 2: read the short sentence aloud and ask one question at a time. Children point, choose, move or draw.
• Discuss slavery and the events of 1942 with care and in clear language. Leave room for questions.
• The answers are at the back of the PDFs. On the website, children see the answer after trying themselves.
